Stewardship Opportunities

STEWARDSHIP COUNCIL

The major responsibilities of St. John’s stewardship program falls under the purview of the Stewardship Council. The Council’s mission is to create awareness of God’s gifts of time, talent and treasure and to encourage that use to the best of one’s ability for the good of the parish. The Council works through the various commissions and ministries of St. John’s to help its parishioners better understand that these gifts have been given by the Lord, at no cost, and should be returned to the Lord with abundance.  The Council has three major subcommittees: Hospitality, Sharing and Time and Talent.

Hospitality

The Hospitality subcommittee’s major responsibility is welcoming and visiting the new families who have become members of the parish. It periodically hosts breakfasts for these new parishioners and provides information about ways in which new parishioners can get involved in the ministries of the parish. The Hospitality subcommittee works closely with the Time and Talent subcommittee.
