FAITHJUSTICE AT ST. JOHN
THE EVANGELIST
Our purpose is to
bring people together in order to educate study and act on issues of
catholic social teaching. “FaithJustice
is planning an active 2006-7
program for our community. All of these activities are designed to draw
the necessary link between our Christian beliefs and the way that we deal
with our community and our world. The nationally recognized “JustFaith”
program will begin its first “semester” of 15 weeks of reading,
instruction, and discussion in January. During Lent, a series of speakers
has been lined up dealing with Scripture, Social Justice, and
Environmental Stewardship. Fr. Glackin will again lead us in a very
special Way of the Cross on Palm Sunday. We also plan a fund raiser for
the Immokalee Workers’ Center and another sponsored bus tour to Immokalee
“in season.” Thank you for your generous support last year which has
provided us with a “nest egg” for this year’s program. We meet monthly
(and semi-monthly “in season”) in the PLC on Saturday at 9:30. Join us
for discussion on October 14. at 9:30 in the PLC FMI call Roberta
